Car 01 was a 2008 Volvo S40 sedan, which entered service when I opened doors in the fall of 2014, and aged out of service just a few months later in the spring of 2015. It was the car that launched Modern Driver Institute. This car was powered by a 2.4L inline 5-cylinder engine, producing 168 hp. I chose Volvo because I’d owned several of them in the past and knew their reliability, ruggedness and commitment to safety. This was a great car, and it’s a shame I couldn’t have used it longer.
