Office of Vocational Rehabilitation

The Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) serves people with disabilities that present a substantial impediment to their employment.  Services are provided to individuals who can benefit from and who need assistance to prepare for, enter, engage in, or retain employment.

Vocational rehabilitation is a direct service program provided through 21 district offices located throughout the Commonwealth. Covered diagnoses include head trauma, mental illness, developmental disabilities (including autism spectrum disorders), learning disabilities and intellectual disabilities.   OVR provides services (including driver training) to eligible individuals with disabilities, both directly and through a network of approved vendors.

Modern Driver Institute is an approved services vendor for the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.  If you are already in the OVR program, the state could pay for driver assessments and driver training.  Our vendor number is 790316.

Visit the OVR website for more information about their services.  If you have general questions regarding the OVR process or need assistance navigating the process, you can contact the Pennsylvania Client Assistance Program (CAP) by phone at (215) 557-7112 or visit their website at www.equalemployment.org.

The following regional OVR offices serve clients within our service area.  Contact the nearest office to you for more information.
