Loss of Consciousness

Disturbances in consciousness or level of awareness are common symptoms in many medical conditions, and appear in as much as 5% of emergency room visits.  Consciousness is measured on a spectrum from wide awake and alert to full coma.

If you periodically lose consciousness or awareness, your doctor is required to report this condition to the state, whether the cause has been determined or not.

You must be symptom-free for at least one year in order to request the restoration of your driving privileges.
